Cooling and Applied Technology, Inc. was started in April, 1997 by Mr. Michael E. Miller and Mr. Andrew C. Estes for the purpose of developing chilling systems for the poultry industry and other auxiliary equipment. Mr. J. Barton Langley joined the company as a partner in September of the same year. The company was located in a small manufacturing shop in Russellville, Arkansas and started taking order from customers almost immediately due to the experience of the partners in the industry. November, 1999 saw the company move into fifty thousand square foot facility also located in Russellville, Arkansas to facilitate the phenomenal growth the company was experiencing. The FATCAT line of chilling systems was launched in November, 1998 and has become the industry standard.
2004 also brought another milestone, the companies first major acquisition, Mepsco, Inc., located in West Chicago, IL. Mepsco, Inc., was and still is, the leader in injection technology and equipment in the poultry and red meat industry.
